When fully wound the clock will run for approximately 3 days, we recommend winding it (by pulling down on the ring) every other day. The cuckoo comes out and chirps once on the half hour and the appropriate number of chirps on the hour. If for some reason you don't want to hear the cuckoo, you can choose to not wind that part of the clock separately.

The accuracy of the clock is generally very good, and can be adjusted to near perfect time by a simple adjustment to the leaf on the pendulum.
